Digital Technologies and Tools
Great crises can become great opportunities if they are managed efficiently and with a sense of the future, and what happened in Chile during the global pandemic is no different.

If measures are not taken to reverse the lack of labor in agriculture - a scenario that is also replicated in other productive sectors - we may face a complex scenario when harvest time arrives, with the consequent damage to the national supply chain and exports. This challenge must be met with enabling digital and technological solutions that support the return of workers to the harvest and other key agricultural tasks during the pandemic.
Today, a public-private alliance is crucial to develop tools that provide geo-referenced information on job offers; new employment incentives that can be promoted by the State; the sectoral protocol; the new Covid 19 health insurance on behalf of the employer, and also to clarify that the IFE Universal bonus is not lost if one returns to formal employment.
But along with talking about the quality of employment, in times of pandemic we must be able to introduce in the labor field those new technologies that allow the early detection of Covid 19 cases, and communicate these safeguards to those who today remain for fear of becoming infected.

In parallel, it would be a key factor if physical forms could be collected through community employment offices and strategic locations such as markets, supermarkets and squares.
The outlook is not easy, time is short and now is the time to start laying the foundations for a new way of offering and securing employment in pandemics.
